It’s that time of year again! Our Greens are being cored and sanded at the beginning of October.
Please come at 11am on Sunday October 5th to help with the core removal.
For new volunteers, it’s physical work, wear ‘grubby’ clothes, garden gloves.
Any amount of time you can volunteer would be very much appreciated. We really really really need your help!
Perfect weather conditions greeted 20 teams of Mixed Fours for the annual Barbara Williams Tournament. As per the usual format there were four games of 10 ends each. There were several teams from our club, and some fine play from all teams. Thank you to all the volunteers. Here are the top three teams:
Not only was the weather good, but so were all the competitors! Teams had to comprise at least one novice or intermediate player, and this provided a broad range of bowling experience. As the City of Vancouver was an event sponsor lunch was provided, as well as a competition pack for every player. There were 22 teams from around the area. Congratulations to the top three teams, and many thanks to all the volunteers, umpires and convenor Janis(who also celebrated her birthday today!!)
